The Power of Sector Rotation.

As is began going through my routine tonight, one theme kept sticking out at me.  WOW oil and energy stocks are bucking the trend.  The market has paused and has begun to fall back from the 200 XMA.  If you just look at the movement of the DOW, NASDAQ or SPX, you would the market did horrible today; however at closer look, you would have noticed that oil stocks, energy stocks and basic material stocks are continuing to rock and roll.

This is why you need to have a premarket routine and an after market routine.  You have to have a trade plan.  This way you're disciplined as a trader to look at everything each night.  This point would have been overlooked if you just look at your basket of stocks each night.  We said on the weekend that Internet, Software, Basic Material, Energy, and Oil are leading the market.  It is still proving out this week.  Even with the NASDAQ falling back today.

To see how I analyze each sector, check out my Technical Analysis Weekend Wrap Up videos on Youtube @ http://www.youtube.com/accendotraders

So, what's your routine?
